The 70W small metal halide wall pack emits bright illumination in temperatures as low as -22° F. A flame-resistant borosilicate glass protects the high intensity lamps secured within the aluminum housing.
70 watt metal halide lamps create illumination from an electric arc (instead of a filament like incandescent models) created by an energized gaseous mix of vaporized mercury and metal halides.
Known throughout the lighting industry as high-intensity (HID) lamps, the TL104-MH-70 belongs to the family of gas discharge lamps. Metal halide is twice as efficient as mercury vapor and HPS technology, and are three to five-times more efficient than incandescents!
70 watt metal halide wall packs are the best mid-range, small-sized fixtures we carry in the MH category. They are a great choice for locations that only need a nominal amount of illumination, usually at low-level wall placements.
These units are a great choice for parking areas, foot paths, underpasses and recreational facilities.
TL104-MH-70s are built with a corrosion resistant, die-cast aluminum casing with an architectural bronze powder-coating finish. Stainless steel screws and gaskets seal the unit completely from outside moisture. A heat-resistant borosilicate refractor covers the lamps inside.
Metal halide wall packs have 1/2" conduit points at the underside for surface mounts and conduit points in back for mounting to any 4" junction box.
Light is focused and intensified by a rear-installed anodized aluminum reflector. The included BD17 70W MH tube screws into a medium based 4KV glazed porcelain socket.
An HX-HPF ballast regulates any sudden electrical overloads and converts the building's hardwired AC electricity into an acceptable voltage to power the lamps
Photocontrol Photocell - Sensor detects sunrise and sunset and automatically activates the light accordingly.
Wireguard - Further protection against vandalism.
Glare Sheild - Blinder greatly reduces the chance blinding injuries caused by looking directly into the light.
