Installing and mounting lights

One of the key components of installing lights is to ensure better security at night. Most of the buildings used by organizations, warehouses and other large commercial establishments have multiple access points posing the risk of possible intrusion during the dark hours. Many cities utilize the yellow light emitted by the high pressure sodium in parking lots and industrial units as it gives better visibility during fog and reduces accidents. Induction wall pack lights have zero maintenance while offering 100,000 hours of work life. Other features of these wall packs are low heat output and instant on off capacity as all wall packs are completely sealed, dust bugs and other pollutants are not able to intrude and dim the luminescence. For best results lighting expert say that wall packs need to be installed at a minimum height of 12 feet to 18 feet.

Lenses

In commercial wall packs range for effective diffusion of light prismatic lenses were used. These were crafted out of heavy borosilicate glass or polycarbonate which is highly durable and shock resistant. Most of these wall packs have utilized high pressure sodium, compact fluorescent and metal halide lamps along with ballast. The main feature of prismatic lenses that are manufactured with the proper quality standards provide a refractor effect that distributes and diffuses the light with minimum loss. With the result this light can be directional either out or down while reducing glare but effectively lighting up the area.
