Wall mounted lights that use LEDs are considered by many to be more environmentally friendly than fluorescent lights and high density discharge lamps. This is because the previous two contain mercury or toxic chemicals. LEDs do not. For this reason, they also don’t require special disposal of the burnt out lamps when it’s time to replace the lamp.
