Loading... Please wait...An emerging technology that has created a furor in the lighting industry, Induction lighting is an emerging field. Usually considered to be energy efficient and eco-friendly, induction wall packs are generally fitted with 400 watt bulbs while there is a complete range of different sizes, shapes and intensities available when you are talking about induction lighting for your home or commercial establishment security.
This remarkable new technology has a complete range of induction wall packs and lighting fixtures such as self ballast induction bulbs, remote controlled and wireless functions for dimming the lights. Other induction wall packs can be wired with motion sensors which ensure that as soon as any motion is detected, all of the security lights that are dimmed have an instant on feature. High illumination is needed in industries with multiple accesses where the requirement for security cameras to capture detailed images in case of any intrusion is observed.
Though both small scale and large scale induction lighting is feasible and can be modulated as per requirement. Out of all of the available outdoor lighting technologies, induction light provides cost effectiveness, ideal lighting source ensuring the replacements are reduced and maintenance is low. Most of the induction lighting can be seen at airports, docks, tunnels, railway stations and can easily recover their front-end financial investments. In most cases, by using this induction lighting fixture over other incandescent lighting, power is saved. Most of the industries have started changing over to induction lighting due to these reasons. In public places such as parking areas, street light and other essential lighting fixtures are now being converted to eco-friendly lighting.
One of the most eco-friendly wallpacks, induction lights work on solidly engineered technology that utilizes a creation of a magnetic field when current passes through the primary coil. The basic functioning and production of light is a chemical reaction that occurs inside the mercury vapor lamp. The electric current passing through the lamp indirectly creates a secondary current which accelerates the speed of the free electrons, leading to collision with mercury molecules. The electrons start orbiting in fixed orbits and start emitting UV radiation. This radiation in turn passes through the fluorescent coating of the lamp, leading to emission of light.
Most of the feature exhibited induction lighting wallpacks are far more superior than incandescent and HID lighting. Irrespective of the induction lighting fixtures that you use all of the lamps working on the principal of induction lighting run for almost 100,000 hours and do not require a filament or a electrode to light up.
