Induction wallpacks - Premium LED Fixtures | WallPack Co.

Induction wallpacks

Due to the stress on the importance of green energy and eco-friendly waste disposal most of the states in US are slowly changing over to induction and LED lighting to cater to the wide range of industries and businesses apart from home security needs, induction wallpacks are available in a multitude of shapes, sizes and wattage.

Generally seen in warehouses and public spaces, induction lights have come into the forefront due to the high demand for low maintenance, high illumination energy conserving lighting fixtures which last longer than any other traditional luminescence.

Working of induction lights

The best advantage of installing induction wall pack as security lighting measures and for illumination is that it does not use a filament or electrodes for lighting us and emits low heat. Most of the wall pack range of lights is completely enclosed within aluminum housing with the power cables, lamp and ballast. Some of the battery backup wall packs are available with a 90-minute rechargeable battery for use in emergency situations or when the direct power is lost. Operated using the current passing through the primary coil, it generates a magnetic field which in turn activate the electrons in the mercury vapor lamp. These in turn react with the mercury atoms, radiating UV rays which pass through the fluorescent coating of the lamp, giving high amounts of light as a result of the chemical reaction.

Key features of induction wall pack

A better version of lighting fixtures than the traditional incandescent and HID lights, induction wall packs run up to 100,000 hours while requiring no maintenance as it does not have an electrode or filament that can go kaput anytime. Due to the non-existence of electrodes and filaments, they run without flickering and are completely resistant to shock and vibration.

High CRI and energy saving features

Most of the induction wallpack have a high intensity white light which can range from 4,000 K to 5,000 K and has a CRI of 82. In areas with extremely low temperature such as -40 C, induction wallpacks and lights are the only known illumination fixtures that operate with least resistance to the cold weather. Additionally, the energy saving capacity and high lumens per watt (LPW) ratio of 70-90 makes it come at the top of the other wall packs.

As these wallpacks are dimmable, the amount of power saved is unimaginable, when you think about hundreds of wallpacks that are installed in docks, warehouse, interior and exterior of industrial units. Most of the small wattage bulbs used induction wallpacks have an internal ballast and medium based. The versatility of the usage makes it one of the most affordable, indoor and outdoor lighting fixture.
